The Communication Arts Book

Print

The Communication Arts study program at Honolulu Community College originated in 1966 (as “Applied Arts” and later “Commercial Art”) and has since continued to prepare students in the fields of graphic design, print, advertising, and related industries.

For the program’s 40th anniversary and to celebrate the retirement of the program’s head instructor, a group of alumni (including myself) banded together to plan a reunion that brought together all the past graduated alumni dating back from the program’s conception. As a special giveaway, archived collateral from all past student portfolio shows were unearthed, collected, scanned, and compiled into a “yearbook” called The Communication Arts Book.
